MotoArt finds a functional use for almost any aircraft part. In this case we have created a great multi use table from cargo flooring off a C-124 Transporter. Supported by four Boeing 707 shock dampers as legs, this piece is given a random orbital finish for an industrial look.
History: The C-124 Globemaster or “Old Shakey” as it was affectionately named, featured “clamshell” loading doors that were capable of handling such bulky cargo as tanks, trucks and bulldozers. The aircraft could also be converted into a transport capable of carrying 200 fully equipped soldiers in its double deck cabin. The first flight of the C-124 took place in 1949 with 448 more of the transports built before production ended in 1955.
